Growing into a truly three-dimensional enterprise, the company has collaborated with many Russian Original Equipment Manufacturers and Government agencies to provide seamless technical support to Indian Army, Navy and Airforce, in addition to being a leading private sector refitting agency for Indian Coast Guard.
In tune with the Government initiatives for achieving self-sufficiency in Defence sector, the company has embarked upon design and development of import substitutes, repairs and manufacture of spares and rotables with OEM know-how and assistance. KDTL has also entered into a number of collaborative arrangements with leading Indian companies to provide defence specific products in the new ‘Make in India’ defence industrial eco system. Transition and growth of KDTL over the years from a maintenance and logistic service provider to a leader in ship repairs and defence equipment manufacturing is duly acknowledged with the Skoch corporate excellence award for contribution towards self-reliance in defence equipment maintenance as well as the Defence & Aerospace award for Best implementer of “Make in India”’.
